CCTV Privacy Notice

1. Introduction

This privacy notice explains how ATG Europe (and its affiliates) at its HQ, Space Business Park, Huygensstraat 34, 2201 DK Noordwijk (NL), will capture images in real time wherever the cameras are pointed. Cameras are situated only outside of the building. There are sign in place to inform all stakeholders where cameras are in use. No audio will be recorded.

2. Why do we collect personal data?

ATG Europe collects data through the CCTV systems for various reasons.
• To ensure the security of the building, the safety of ATG staff and visitors, ATG Real Estate Tenants and their visitors, as well as property and information located or stored on the premises;
• To prevent, deter, and if necessary, investigate unauthorized physical access as well as criminal activity on the plot surrounding the building.
• To prevent, detect and investigate theft of or damage to equipment or assets owned by any company occupying a space in the building, their visitors or their staff or threats to the safety of personnel working in the building (e.g. fire, physical assault).

The CCTV system is not used for any other purpose, such as to monitor the work of employees or their attendance. It is important to notice that the location and positioning of the video-cameras are such that they are not intended to cover the surrounding public space. The system is also not used as an investigative tool or to obtain evidence in internal investigations or disciplinary procedures unless a security incident and/or criminal activity is involved. (In exceptional circumstances, the data may be transferred to investigatory bodies in the framework of a formal disciplinary or criminal investigation).

The CCTV cameras are installed at the entrances, placed and focused in a way that only people who want to access the site or the annexed facilities, including parking area, are filmed.

3. What is the purpose and lawful basis for processing?

ATG Europe uses video surveillance equipment for security and access control purposes (legitimate interest), which is necessary for providing a safe environment for our employees and all stakeholders entering the building.

4. What personal data do we use?

By using CCTV System, ATG Europe collects and stores static and moving images of individuals and their vehicles within the surveillance area. We are not processing sensitive personal data (i.e. data belonging to special categories of personal data) through the operation of the video surveillance.

5. How long do we keep your data?

CCTV data will be stored 28 days and after that automatically deleted unless required for legal purposes (including resolving security incidents).

6. What are your rights

The law gives you specific rights over your information.

These rights are:
• to be informed of our use of information about you
• to access to information about you
• to have your information erased (the ‘right to be forgotten’)
• to restrict how we use information about you
• to object to how we use information about you

Some of the rights listed above apply only in certain situations, and some have a limited effect.

7. How do we protect your data

ATG Europe is committed to protecting the security of your personal data. Therefore, we use several security technologies and procedures to help us to protect your data from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. We keep your data on systems where access is limited. We will not share the CCTV footage with anyone, unless strictly necessary for the investigation of incidents, in which case appropriate procedures will be followed.
